I changed the title of the site to Animal Crossing Town Record rather than AC Town Record, but it might be temporary. I just wanted to see if I would like it, since it takes up more space in the header and might be clearer to new visitors what this blog is about. The length of the title and the fact that it’s in all caps might be too overwhelming, though. 😆 We’ll see if I keep it like this… any input would be great! And you can keep calling this site AC Town Record. Edit: I changed it back, haha.

I got this letter from Bundeena’s Puddles yesterday, and with a present attached! How nice, it definitely makes up for her less-than-warm greeting. 😛

Just as I was leaving the house I saw another result of my wi-fi session with Teru, my first visit from Blanca! It’s funny, I got the Katie & Kaitlin event the day after I first DS-to-DS’d between Dafdilly and Red Bank (my dad’s town), and I got Blanca the day after I first wi-fi’d.

My very quick Kiki Blanca. The pupils are too small.

Curly’s my new neighbor, and I’ve had him before for a while so I’m not ecstatic about it. 😛 I was expecting a neighbor from Bundeena or a different town, so I was surprised to see this one was newly generated.

His cotton candy pink & blue house in the sunset. 😛 I love when all three of my beach house spots are filled! Also, this house shape is lovely, with the two windows on top. Usually when you take a photo of a villager’s house from the front like this, you can’t see the top of it, but I used a trick I learned from ACWW Happiness: taking a picture when the main screen view shoots up into the top screen after pressing Y or X.

This morning I tried it again with my house and got a better picture of my new mansion than I had in my last post. You can see the tip of my blue head (I wasn’t able to completely crop myself out without making the photo look weird), but it kind of blends in with the stone.

I was excited that my camera could do this (new vistas of opportunity! :P), so I went around taking pictures of the major buildings.

…And the rest of my neighbors’ houses. I was having fun. 😆 Prepare to see lots of boring pictures of houses with me standing thoughtfully in front. 😛

Amelia’s house

Peewee’s house

Joey’s house

Olivia’s house

Kiki’s house

Agent S’s house

Curt’s house

Anyway, enough with that and on to today’s events!

All my fruit trees are fully grown and laden with fruit now! I’ll probably plant some more, though, because Pelly says I need more green (I’ve been checking my town status a bit lately and mildly working towards a perfect town), so there will be more baby trees soon. My town fruit is oranges, but I think peaches work the best with my desired color scheme. The blue cobblestone gate would also go with my town’s pastel colors better than my dark red one. *sigh*

I shot down Gulliver today and had fun dressing up like him! 😛

Good to know! But I think there are more pressing issues to worry about in space than getting eaten, like being hit by a slingshot — erm, I mean comet.

I was hoping for chocolates, but this mermaid statue is really nice too!

In Dafdilly I’ve obtained the common painting, strange painting, and opulent painting from Redd, but recently I donated these other paintings, too:

Moving painting

“The Birth of Venus”
Sandro Boticelli
Amazing painting

“Night Watch”
Rembrant Harmenszoon van Rijn
Perfect painting

“Apples and Oranges”
Paul Cézanne
Fine painting

“Joyousness”
Paul Gauguin
Nice painting

“Boy with Flute”
Edouard Manet
Dainty painting

“L’etoile”
Edgar Degas
Lovely painting

“Mademoiselle Irene”
Pierre-Auguste Renoir
Rare painting

“The Kiss”
Paul Klimt
Basic painting

“The Blue Boy”
Thomas Gainsborough
Solemn painting

“Las meninas”
Diego Velázquez
Quaint painting

“The Milkmaid”
Johannes Vermeer
Warm painting

“The Nude Maja”
Francisco Goya
Scary painting

“Otani Oniji II”
Toshusai Sharaku

You guessed it, from my original character’s catalog. 😛 These paintings took years (of admittedly on and off playing) to accumulate and I didn’t want to start from scratch. Plus, I love art history, so having these mini pixelated Animal Crossing versions in my museum is fun. 😛 I’m sure it will still take a while to obtain the last four I need: the famous, flowery, worthy, and calm paintings.

  1. Aww, I thought that WiFing would swap the animals in our 9th slots. Oh well…

I love your pictures of the houses and buildings! 😀 I wouldn’t have seen the top of your head if you hadn’t mentioned it; blends in perfectly 😛 I guess we have another house shape shared by more than one neighbour.

    Ohhh, so that’s what I’m missing – a Botticelli! I never thought it’d be such a well-known painting I need 😯 Ahhh it looks so nice >_<

Btw, I'd take a mermaid statue over chocolates any day 😀

    • I thought so, too, but this 9th slot stuff can be hard to predict. 😕

That house shape is really eye-catching! Rolf and Bluebear have that one as well. I also think Amelia has the same house shape as Anabelle’s. I’m glad I didn’t give up on your technique to get full shots of buildings! I tried the day I got my mansion, but after many blurry, warped shots I figured my camera wasn’t quick enough. By the way, it’s awesome how you were able to do a happy emotion in your full mansion picture! 😀

So we could complete each other’s painting exhibits. 😛 But you’re probably like me in that you would rather finally find the last painting from Redd, it’d be more epic that way. (If not, I could order the moving painting for you.)

      • Amelia does! And Joey’s is the same as Aurora’s 😀 I wanted to say that but I just get paranoid with those houses cos I can’t tell if the left roofs are all slanted to the same the degree =.=

Your house shots are perfect ^_^ I had to stitch a top and bottom picture together for the mansion shot so I just did a happy emotion like normal while doing the bottom half (was taken while screen was still).

I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before the right painting comes along xD But I’d be happy to do a trade with you some time for one painting if you think it’s too easy getting everything in one go but want to speed things up 😛
I am actually wondering whether I might have 2 missing paintings, because from memory there were two empty spaces. I just can’t think of which other painting I do not have… It better not be Katie’s portrait -_-

        • Maybe eventually I’ll be able to pin down all the house shapes for each house style, and who has them. 😛 And thanks, I was inspired by you because I love all the pictures of your neighbors’ houses throughout your blog. 🙂
That sounds good, we could arrange the trade if it’s taking too long the normal way. I think you have all the ones I’m missing and vice-versa. I do get frustrated with Redd’s stock sometimes, I think he’s had the apple clock on sale 3 times. >_< I really want the cabin chair for my main room! At least he comes every week, though.

  2. Ooh! I hope you get a Perfect Town soon!
with the Jacob’s Ladders, some of your neighbors complimenting your town..
(Margie and Baabara said i have a “cute” town,it was supposed to be
an elegant looking town O.o with the bushes and stuff 😆 )
and finally…THE GOLDEN WATERING CAN!!!

Good Luck! See you at 10 PM my time and you’ll probably know what
time at your place 😆 (i’ll be opening MY gates, hope you come!)

    • The jacob’s ladders are a big reason why I want a perfect town! And I agree, your town is very elegant with the flowery hedges and shiny paths. Mine probably qualifies as cute, though. >_>

Okay, I’ll look for your open gates at 10 AM my time! You should tell some other people the time, too. 🙂

  3. […] the same house shape and house style that she had! (You can see what Amelia’s looked like in this post.)This one is by Vincent Van Gogh, simply titled Sunflowers. I’m soo happy to have this one […]
