Meet-ups with other players in “Animal Crossing: New Leaf!”

This is quite an eventful post! So many things to cover: a busy day of WiFi sessions when Citàlune had a high turnip selling-price, an exciting new neighbor moving into town, gardening and public works progress around town, and lots of internal debate over the Café’s location. I’m going to ask you all for opinions about that at the end of this post, but first I have to tell more about my town’s happenings lately!

Unlocking Shampoodle is always an exciting milestone in a new town, finally being able to customize your characters how you want. 🙂 I was fortunate I didn’t have to wait this long, though, by making use of a friend’s Shampoodle earlier. Other events that took place were dropping Katie off at a new town, and working on a new path to brighten things up.

It was nice to have some confirmation from a bulletin board notice that the constant rain and clouds were because it was the rainy season, which is apparently now wrapping up. The occasional rainfall is nice, but after too much of it I was really missing bright blue skies, sunsets, and stars. A rainbow later on helped to symbolically confirm the end of the rainy season, too 🙂

Construction is underway for public works in Citàlune, as well as yet more new buildings on Main Street. I also had lovely WiFi visits with a few friends! 🙂

Main Street is getting livelier and livelier, with a new convenience store, new shoe shop, new machine at the Ables’, and rumors of a potential new club. Even Blathers is brainstorming on how to increase traffic on his end. Other towns’ Main Streets are bustling too, clearly, since I was able to get a fancy new haircut in the salon at a friend’s town. ^^

The day before yesterday, playing a bit before bed, I saw the first thunderstorm in my town! The only other time I had seen it pour like that was in the Ancient Fish Encoun-Tour on the Island. Though it’s continued to be stormy in my town, so the novelty has worn off some. xP

It rained for the first time in my town yesterday, and strangely, it seemed to rain in many others’ towns as well! Maybe the rainy season in Animal Crossing is upon us. Also, my tree has grown a bit since I’ve last shown a picture of it. 🙂 It actually grew the day I got access to the island (not sure if that’s what influenced the tree’s growth, or if it’s just a coincidence).

But before we get to the island’s opening today, I have a few more things to tell about from yesterday. My dad has AC:NL as well, and he invited me to his town last night to pick up a fossil that I didn’t have yet. He could’ve just sold it (I’m sure I’ll get all the fossils eventually), but that was nice of him! 🙂

Yesterday I finally got myself a watering can! I didn’t realize that all I had to do was ask Isabelle for advice for living and complete a few simple tasks, like bringing her a seashell. If you need a fishing rod or net, she’ll also give you one of those too. But not both, I think, so look to see what tools are at Nookling’s Junction first. Might be a helpful tip for those in Europe who are starting their New Leaf town soon. I hope you all enjoy the game! 😀

Yesterday Estel moved out of her tent and into her new house! Isabelle thoughtfully brought a gift of wallpaper for the occasion, how sweet! 🙂 I love the apple tree behind this house, I think I’m going to always keep a tree there. (Unless it interferes with some future garden plan?)
