Beginning of September

Read → Beginning of September

I’ll be honest, I’ve gotten behind not only in posting, but also in my game in general. There were a few weeks I wasn’t able to play much AC:NL at all, and I don’t like to leave things to chance (like Melba moving out, or the most amazing item showing up when I’m not there to buy it), so I’ve been catching up through the days I missed by TTing. As I write this post I’m at around mid-September in my game, so that’s the extent of what this post covers. But I’m going to try to catch up to the present as soon as possible!

Perfect town (finally!)

I say “finally” because PTS is something I’ve been wanting and working towards for a while (since I want the flower clock and town hall remodels), but it seems like loads of others got it much earlier on accident or with little effort! xP I think I probably made it difficult for myself by not building the campsite and police station (don’t know if I want those in Citàlune), or the café yet (a house is in the way of where I want to put it). Those projects are worth a lot of “abundant living” points in New Leaf’s town status system.

Castles and cottages in Citàlune

I’ve been working a lot on re-furnishing and expanding a few of my characters’ houses lately, so I thought I would give an overview of what I’ve done for each of my characters and their houses to this point, and what my goals are for each of them. I’ve especially focused on Estel’s and Lyra’s homes recently, which have both been changed into castles! ^_^ I thought that having a few castles in my fantasy city would be fitting, but that having every single house be a castle would be over-doing it, so Violet’s and Fern’s homes will be more humble, cottage-style houses.

Fireworks fun

In my last post I left off before the first fireworks show, August 4th, to give a little perspective on how much time this post is covering. The fireworks are gorgeous in New Leaf! 😀 I hadn’t been spoiled on what the fireworks look like, so it was a fun surprise to see them for the first time. They’re a huge step up from the fireworks I’m used to in AC:WW, which were basically formed by a bunch of squares. (Aww, but I still love you, Wild World! 😛 ) They have more variety now as well!

Finally some good projects

I’m sorry that I haven’t been good about posting my town’s recent happenings lately! I think I’m going to go ahead and abandon my attempt at categorizing pictures into different days (like day 50, 51, etc.). I hope it it won’t be confusing to not specify each day, but after all, I never did that when posting on AC:WW.

Days 40-42: Second Bug-Off & Second K.K. Show

I’m posting a little sooner after my last post than I’ve done lately because I feel like my last few were on the long side as a result of covering so many days in them. Some sort of schedule for this blog would be ideal, but I doubt I’d be able to stick to it, especially when I get busier in the Fall. I guess I’m on a “when it feels right for me” schedule, sorry about that!

Days 31-39: Debating the Café location

Read → Days 31-39: Debating the Café location

This is quite an eventful post! So many things to cover: a busy day of WiFi sessions when Citàlune had a high turnip selling-price, an exciting new neighbor moving into town, gardening and public works progress around town, and lots of internal debate over the Café’s location. I’m going to ask you all for opinions about that at the end of this post, but first I have to tell more about my town’s happenings lately!

Days 24-30: Shampoodle! (and more…)

Unlocking Shampoodle is always an exciting milestone in a new town, finally being able to customize your characters how you want. 🙂 I was fortunate I didn’t have to wait this long, though, by making use of a friend’s Shampoodle earlier. Other events that took place were dropping Katie off at a new town, and working on a new path to brighten things up.
