Just a heads up, I’m not the biggest WiFier in the world, especially now that the game has been out for so long. I don’t open my gates randomly, but if we arrange a meeting (which is more likely if we’ve gotten to know each other somewhat), here is my information:
- 3711-7632-8989 ~ This is my preferred FC to add, for my black capture card 3DS.
- 4270-7116-9824 ~ This is a capture card 3DS as well, but unlike the one above, it requires screen-recording software to be running.
- 0233-2558-0068 ~ FC for my Galaxy New 3DS XL. It can only take screenshots through L+R.
3222-6062-4806~ My original FC, for my Animal Crossing 3DS XL that I got on June 9, 2013. I no longer use this 3DS for WiFi so please don’t add this FC. If you have it added from the past, you may want to remove it.
Before coming to my town, I’d appreciate if you read the following so that we’re on the same page on what you can and can’t do in my town. Most of this is just common courtesy, but some people do have different rules about what’s acceptable in their towns, so imo it’s just best to make these things clear.
- Please don’t run in my town, unless it’s on the paths. But if you don’t know my paths well you could easily run over a flower, so I’d prefer if you don’t run at all. You can of course go off the paths (in fact, I’d be disappointed if you only stayed on the paths, since I do quite a bit of landscaping off of them), but please walk when you do so.
- Please don’t do purposeful damage to my town, which includes cutting down trees, running over flowers, digging up bushes/stumps, taking things on the ground without permission, etc. If you do something on accident, though, I’ll understand!
- You can take fruit and buy from my shops — I might prefer if you ask or let me know first, just so I’m aware.
- You don’t have to ask permission to visit my houses and the villagers, explore the town, talk to the villagers, go to the museum, fish and catch bugs, or dig up fossils and gyroids you might find.
- At times it feels like there’s only so much to do during WiFi, so definitely feel free to let me know what you would like to do — for example, if you want to just hang out and look around town, or if you want (or don’t want) to go to the island. I know some people don’t like doing island tours, so I wouldn’t want to force that on you as an activity if you don’t enjoy it. 🙂

Hi, thank you very much, glad you liked it! 🙂 Sounds like a neat theme! I recommend bordering where you want dirt paths to go with flowers/bushes/trees as a deterrent from going off the path, and/or adding qr-code paths at first and then picking them up when grasswear starts to wear a path down underneath the patterns. As for getting characters off to a good start, it mostly just takes lots of bell-saving — all those expansions can get expensive! And being diligent in checking Nook’s Homes daily for needed house parts. With landscaping I recommend just following your heart and what you want out of your town (as cheesy as it sounds) and don’t be afraid to try new ideas, you can always get rid of them later if they don’t work out. For me it was just lots of hard work, trial and error, and brainstorming ^^ Good luck with your town and I’m sorry for the late response!! I’ll add you now, mine’s 3222-6062-4806 🙂

In the past few months since I’ve posted that, I’ve changed my theme that I want to go with. I’d like to make it desserts/sweets themed. I’m going to delete my new town and start over. I think It’ll be fun to start fresh! 🙂

I recommend browsing the community projects available in New Leaf, picking out your favorite ones, and seeing if there’s a specific theme that would best connect the different projects you want. For example, I was drawn to the fairy-tale community projects, so I’m doing a theme/feel based on that. You can also always just decorate your town like… a town. Just having lots of trees and flowers, maybe some paths, and fitting in community projects that you like.

Sure, I’ll add you. About a New Leaf QR codes page, I hope I can start one up someday. Right now, though, I haven’t had much time at all to make patterns for my own town, let alone for others. The only path I’ve made so far is the mosaic one for my own town. If I make more, I’ll start the page.

Today my dreamsuit was ready and I visited your awesome town. At first I met Fern and I was – not shocked – I was surprised to see that she say “Danke!”. 😀 I guess it’s a nice detail. Than I saw the other houses and they are all really beautiful. Actually I prefer every bathroom! And I like it on your town that you have not so much path. On your blog it looks like (sometimes) that you have a little bit too much, but in real it’s pure beautiful. I shot a loot of pictures and at least I read the chronicle of your town and as a souvenier I choosed your Moon-Pattern. 🙂

I don’t like the current yellow-ish grass much, so I’ve been reluctant to update it and overwrite the dark green grass that’s in my dream town. But I think I’ve made enough changes/additions for it to be worth updating soon, despite the yellow-ish grass color not being to my taste. Feel free to let me know your dream address as well, if you want to (but you don’t have to), and I can visit yours as well ^_^

And I totally hate the yellow grass! In Wild World it was the prettiest time in year and in New Leaf it sounds so dead and makes me sad. But the trees looks nice and matches very well with my perfect peaches (I’m so jealous you got the perfect apple!)

I have mixed feelings about this season when it comes to Animal Crossing because I usually design my towns with green grass in mind, and then Fall comes along and everything clashes with the new grass colors. But hopefully everything will turn to oranges and reds soon, that should be pretty!
I love the perfect golden peaches, that would’ve been my second choice for town fruit! Alternating between perfect golden peaches and regular pink peaches would make very pretty rows of trees. 🙂
