Hey everyone! I’m sorry for this non-town news post; I haven’t reached the end of December in my town yet so I can’t really do a “End of December” post. 😛 I was wondering if anyone would like to give advice/opinions on a decision I’m struggling with: my “dream” (permanent) lazy resident in Citalune. I think a lot of you know that my criteria for choosing dream neighbors is based mostly on their house exterior — specifically, houses with fairy-tale doors and bright color schemes. (It might seem strange to pick based off houses, but I’m not really picky about neighbors because I feel like I can grow fond of almost any neighbor with time. On the other hand, I am picky about how my town looks, and house exteriors have an effect on that. Plus, many of my neighbors will be close together so it’s ideal if their houses look good together.)

Beginning of December

First, I’m just going to say that I’m abandoning all pretense that my goal is to catch up to the present in New Leaf as soon as possible. I don’t want to feel stressed and rushed when I play AC; I want to go at a pace I find enjoyable. 🙂 If that means my town’s still in winter when everyone else is in spring, so be it. I’ve come to terms with the fact that this is just how I end up playing AC often these days, and to be honest, I don’t really mind my town not being on the correct date! And with that little announcement, I’m going to just jump in to the beginning of December in Citàlune: of new WiFis, new neighbors, and new sights of stunning auroras.

A Wild World post: just some odds and ends since New Leaf came out

In my last post on Dafdilly, we left off on the first day of Spring (February 25th), and I’ll admit that my town has hardly progressed at all since that post. Back then I had plans to try to catch up through the rest of Spring (especially the cherry blossom festival, which I was really looking forward to, and had plans of doing a special landscaping project for the pink trees), but then two things happened: 1) my DS Lite's hinge broke, making it more of a pain to play AC:WW, and 2) New Leaf came out, which being a brand new AC game, excited me and kept me busy with all the new things to do, collect, and customize.

A little town hall gallery

This is kind of random, but recently I realized that I can relate a lot to this post of Teru’s about having a hard time resisting taking pictures of the town tree at different times of day/year, only for me, it’s my town hall area that I’m always taking pictures of! I don’t know why, I mean it’s relatively simple landscaping — just a color fade of lilies and violets and some streetlights — but I just love the way it seems to completely change at different times of day. At night, the cool colors in the lilies/violets field stand out, and everything looks so icy and glimmering (bet that part will look even better when snow covers the ground). In the daytime and at sunset, the warm colors in the lilies/violets field stand out more, looking vibrant and fiery. So I think my flower field in front of the town hall suits my moon&sun concept really well, in an odd, abstract way!

I’m going to indulge myself a bit with the length of this post since it’s been so long since I last did a post on the happenings in Citàlune, and there’s a lot I want to share! Feel free to take breaks while reading, read a part one day and the rest another day, just scroll through the pictures, whatever works for you. xP

Lotsa WiFis recently

I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately, I haven’t had as much time for AC as I’d like… My town is still behind, and I haven’t made quick progress on the patterns/landscaping goals I outlined in my last post. I’ll try to speed up the progress as much as I can, and in the meantime, here’s a post on some WiFis I’ve had recently with someone from TBT, Megan, Marina, and Katie. 🙂

Well, I can’t really do an “End of October” post yet, because as I type this, my town is currently behind: on October 17th. I have a reason for being behind, which I’m excited about, and will go into more at the bottom of this post. But I was also excited about getting to experience the Halloween festivities in AC:NL in real-time after all, thanks to Ryann of Shantaki coming to the rescue!

(Haha, I know my post titles have been repetitive lately, but posting on half a month’s main activities has been good for the catch-up state I’m still in right now.) Autumn is beginning to show in the leaves, creating some lovely scenery around town as I work towards getting a new dream neighbor moved in, participate in the Fishing Tourney, and knock out a few Gracie fashion checks.
