This is another AC:CF WiFi post, but a brief one since the WiFi session was also rather brief, just 15-20 minutes or so. It was still fun, though! I went to Will’s town of Oakwood for the first time this past Sunday. 🙂

Stepping through the gate, I was immediately surprised because the last time I’d seen his town, it looked like this. He’s done lots of renovations in Oakwood for the spring/summer, it looks fantastic! 😀

It’s nice to see a familiar face, I have Whitney in my AC:WW town Dafdilly. 🙂

Bob, one of my all-time favorites! 😀 He read me a poem, like Egbert in Ol’ Dale did. 😛 He’s one of the lazies I want to have in Dafdilly, I hope he turns up there someday. It seems like Will has been pretty lucky with neighbors in AC:CF!

Will’s beach house ^_^

This is a cozy set-up, with a nice view of the Jingle TV from this bed, and a lamp nearby to use for reading at night.

I was impressed by the even spread of palm trees by the beach! I wonder how dead spots work in this game, if there are any. But you can be sure I won’t do that testing in AC:CF. 😆

His Nook ‘n’ Go’s stock is a lot better than mine tends to be — I think that ranch hutch is a spotlight item! I didn’t buy any furniture in case he wanted to, but I did buy an axe, which will be helpful if I ever want to attempt to landscape a bit (probably nothing too great, though).

Shortly after he had to go. I was saying “thank you” because he had just given me some bells! Thanks again, Will, it’ll go towards my first house payment. 😀 I enjoyed exploring Oakwood a bit and seeing all the new paths and landscaping! If you want to see more, check out Will’s post.

Now I’ve gotten to WiFi individually with a few of my AC blogging buddies who play AC:CF, and I think it would also be fun to have some sort of group meeting sometime. Though New Leaf is coming out very soon as well, so we could also just save group WiFis for that game. It’s starting to feel so close!

Last week I got to WiFi with Liam again, only this time in City Folk. 🙂 Our first WiFis together were in Wild World, and I was really looking forward to seeing what his town was like in City Folk as well!

First, though, he came over to Seahaven real quick. There’s not much to see here other than the natural environment and the cherry blossom trees.

Wow, he gave me four carnations as a gift! Thanks a lot! 😀 I found out a few months ago that carnations are my birth month flower. 😛 They look nice with the colors in town during the cherry blossom festival.

We tried to take some party popper/sparkler pictures, but each of us got the timing off a few times or set them off accidentally.

Not too bad 🙂

A picture together by Seahaven’s waterfall, one of my favorite spots in town, before heading over to Liam’s town Oakshaw.

Stepping through the gate and into Oakshaw 🙂 I like how the brick pattern coordinates with the colors of the gate.

Ooh, the orange and blue pansies are so vibrant next to each other!

Liam has a few areas in town that he calls “flower storage” that are beautiful fields full of hybrids 😀 :

So pretty!

We fished along the river and ocean a bit. This fish chose Liam’s instead of mine…

I got to meet one of the new villagers introduced in City Folk, Pekoe!

Found some hybrid-breeding spots:

Looks like Liam will get this fish too… I’m not very good at fishing in this game. >_< I did at least catch a horse mackerel while I was there.

While my attention was away for a minute, Liam planted three pitfalls around my character. There was still a bit of room to maneuver around the pitfalls, though, so when I came back, I saw the pitfalls and walked around them, and Liam fell in instead for some reason. 😛

He fell in all three of them, I don’t know how that happened 😆

It was awesome to finally meet a monkey villager! 😀 They’re really rare to get in Wild World (especially real, non-hacked ones).

Argh! Liam got his revenge. 😛 We got separated briefly so I asked where he was, and he replied that he was at the ramp, and when I went to meet him there I fell into a pitfall. Look at that smile of satisfaction on his face!

Soaking Chow, his least favorite neighbor. I was actually kind of excited to meet Chow because he’s been featured in a few of Liam’s posts. 😆

We looked around Oakshaw’s museum, and I have to say, I like the design of the exhibits in City Folk! Seeing this huge tank on a larger screen was impressive.

Nice, a completed mammoth fossil 🙂

Lyra was pleased with Oakshaw’s coffee! I think this was my first cup of coffee in City Folk, haven’t gotten any in my town town yet. >_>

Chow kept turning up wherever we went.

Ooh, love this stepping stone pathway! 😀

A nice worn dirt path on the ramp, with stepping stones. It’s neat that in City Folk you can take advantage of the grasswear to make dirt paths around town, and then add patterns on top that blend in with the dirt.

Awesome, like a secret pathway 😮

Liam was very giving — he didn’t just give me the carnations earlier, but also bells, a Jacob’s ladder, a red turnip seed, and all the fruits! 😯 Thanks again for everything, Liam! I felt bad that I didn’t have much to give in return, but I did have a freakoid gyroid in my pocket… 😛

A last picture by the gate of the two of us (with Champ Simon) before partying over. Thanks for having me over, Oakshaw is a beautiful town! 😀

City Folk WiFi

This is pretty random, but I just wanted to let you all know that I can WiFi in City Folk now! For a while my Wii was not connected to the internet. Here’s my information if anyone is interested:

Town: Seahaven
Character: Lyra
Friend code: 3096-7221-5379

But I don’t blame you if you’re not interested, since my town is not very interesting. 😛 And I’m not sure if it ever will be. About a week ago I turned on my City Folk game for the first time in almost a year, and every day or two have played in my town for 10-30 minutes. To be honest, I don’t get the same enjoyment out of playing City Folk as I do when I play Wild World, and I prefer my town Dafdilly to my town Seahaven. I get confused by my City Folk town sometimes, with Nook’s and Ables’ being so far apart, and there’s like 20 house locations in my town! o_o It does not really feel like home like Dafdilly does. The wiimote/nunchuck controls also frustrate me a lot, I wish there was an option to use a different controller. It takes me a lot longer to do things in City Folk that I can do quite speedily in Wild World, like making patterns and watering flowers. Also, I just don’t feel like this is the best time to start trying to complete my catalog and museum, pay off my debts, and raise money for town projects in a game that I’m unlikely to play at all after New Leaf comes out. Maybe a few years ago I would have been excited to play in a new town and character in City Folk, but at this point, starting from scratch kind of stinks, especially because I feel like New Leaf will pretty much have everything City Folk has and more. I might continue to check Seahaven occasionally or I might end up abandoning it again soon…

Anyway, the first person I WiFied with was Choco’s character Serene from Ol’ Dale. 😀 She came over to drop off some flowers to take care of while she’s away on a trip. It feels like those times when your friend or neighbor asks you to water their flowers or care for their pets while they’re away, only in this case it’s for someone who lives in a different country. 😛

She gave me an orange (I accidentally ate it -_-) and 50,000 bells, which I used to splurge on some clothes at GracieGrace and a new haircut to replace my bed hair. 😀 Thanks a lot Serene!

Yes, this is my house. >_<

For comparison, this is what my house looked like after playing in Dafdilly for two days:

A lot of this was from my neighbors! But I feel like my City Folk neighbors never give me anything. So I’m having to rely on Nook more, and he hasn’t been very helpful, stocking random stuff like coolers and outdoor garbage cans.

Finally! 😛 Maybe this will help a bit.

A last picture of Nook’s Cranny, with Elmer. It was so cloudy!

A sunnier day! Serene’s flowers are temporarily making this part of my town quite pretty! ^_^

Yay, Nook ‘n’ Go is open! 😀 The stock is still not very helpful, though.

On March 31st I was just logging in to water Serene’s flower patch, but there was a hopping bunny in my town. 😮

For Bunny Day/Easter there were eggs buried all over my town. When you open an egg, it contains either candy or a bunny foil. I don’t know what to do with the candy, but if you give Zipper the bunny foil, he’ll give you a piece of the egg series in return. I was excited at the prospect of finally having some matching stuff to put in my house and having a dresser to put things in, so I searched for the eggs the best I could. It probably did a lot of damage to my grass, but oh well.

It’s certainly an improvement from before, at least. 😀

I met Daisy in AC:WW recently when WiFing with Marge in Hobbiton, and I said I’d never had her before, but it turns out she’s in my AC:CF town.

A coconut washed on the beach. I haven’t done anything with it yet 😛

Hey Serene, good to see you again! 🙂

She came to pick up her flowers, then she let me go to her town. It was great to get out of Seahaven!

Ugh, my first step into Ol’ Dale, and I picked up a pattern. >_< I fumbled with the buttons when trying to take a picture.

Ooh, a fountain! The City Folk fountains are so lovely. 🙂

While Serene arranged her flowers I walked along Ol’ Dale’s helpful paths to explore the town.

I love the little pond by her gate! I saw some towns with ponds near the gate when I was resetting, and I hoped that the town I ended up with would have one, but it was not to be.

Ol’ Dale’s map is awesome!

Meeting some of Ol’ Dale’s residents:

I wouldn’t mind getting Eloise in Dafdilly. ^_^

Haha wow, she has Daisy too!

Egbert read me a poem. 😛

We share another neighbor: Jitters is in Seahaven as well! 😮

Serene’s house, I think it’s fully expanded ^_^

I love that it’s near a waterfall!

Oh wow, this furniture is sooo nice 😀 I think it is the gorgeous series from GracieGrace, maybe?

And I know what this is, the Princess series! It’s my favorite new series in City Folk, and it’s available now at GracieGrace, but I can’t afford even a single piece of it. >_<

Enjoying this lovely room 🙂

Watching a show with Serene downstairs after she’d finished arranging her flowers, and then it was time for her to go to bed. Thanks so much for having me over to your town, Choco, Ol’ Dale is wonderful! 😀
